Chloe Rae Solis was born on November 10, 2001 and weighed in at 8lbs. 5oz. and 20 inches long. Everything in our lives seemed normal, she sat up on her own at 6 months, but was delayed in everything else. At about 10 months we decided it was time to take Chloe to see a physical therapist at Children's Therapy Specialists in Frankfort, Illinois for an evaluation. At that time it was felt the she was just delayed and needed some strengthening and would be walking in a couple of months. Strangely though, after months of therapy she was not progressing but was actually regressing. We decided to then take her to a neurologist. Chloe was a big puzzle as far as most doctor's were concerned, she had always been quit large for her age, and always looked very puffy of swollen. She was also cognitively delayed and not moving what so ever. None of these things together, amounted to add up to a diagnosis. Chloe was 7years old. She lived near Chicago and is survived by her parents, Raul and Cara Solis and two younger brothers, in addition to a host of loving relatives.
